Client Requirements
The client managed the groundwork to OutHounds specification. We then designed a bespoke steel frame over 19m wide by 7m projection to ensure the structure was stable in extreme high winds and changeable weather conditions. Frameless glass panels and doors were added to the sides and sliding doors to the front to provide full protection for customers.
With a steel subframe, Leisure Resorts have been able to highly customise this unique outdoor / indoor hybrid space with the addition of a pizza oven and bar; allowing the space to adapt as their requirements change.

At Ullswater Heights the amazing covered outdoor deck has created an all year round dining area; making the most of the views over the private lake. A custom steel frame design with retractable roof, glass sliding doors and bespoke frameless glazing panels was designed to withstand the extreme weather conditions of the Lake District.
Leisure Resorts were opening a new luxury holiday park in Ullswater, Lake District. They approached OutHounds to design an outdoor area to be used all 12 months of the year. The key challenges to overcome were the inability to fix to an existing building as the park restaurant was a prefabricated structure. In addition to this, there were only 6 weeks from initial approach to opening day.
